 | Thursday, November 23rd, 2000: Loggers-Drillers Swap Confirmed Several Loggers and Drillers players soon will have to start shopping for a new home. It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Maine will get 31-year old starting pitcher Raśl Souza and Texas will pick up 31-year old minor league second baseman Deron Gamble in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Loggers." In his career Souza has chalked up 30 wins and 36 losses and compiled a 4.61 ERA. |
