Tuesday, October 17th, 2000: Sheperd Blasts 3 into Bleachers
Every now and then, the right things happen at the right time. Curt Sheperd discovered that when he smashed three homers at Nebraska Stadium during today's 7-2 win over the Pennsylvania Freedom.

The Nebraska right fielder said in the postgame interview, "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them. The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
