Missouri has worked out terms of a deal to send 25-year old right fielder Jeff Quick and 21-year old minor league first baseman Ben George to New York for 31-year old reliever Ken White and 20-year old minor league first baseman Juan Gómez. Both teams expect to introduce the players to their new teammates within a day or two.



During his career White has posted a 16-and-14 record with 20 saves and a 3.10 ERA.
Tuesday, October 17th, 2000: Rumor Mill: Hill On Trading Block
Allegedly, John Hill has asked to be traded from New York. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.
Sunday, October 1st, 2000: Kendrick Voted September's #1 Newcomer
The Metropolitan League made the official announcement today. The Rookie of the Month honor went to Jake Kendrick of New York. He was chosen as the #1 rookie in September.

Last month the 25-year-old Knights left fielder played in 25 games and hit .398 with 6 doubles, no triples and 8 home runs. Kendrick also scored 23 times and drove in 28 runs.

This season in 152 games, Kendrick has hit at a .295 clip with 168 hits, 30 home runs, 102 RBIs and 103 runs scored.
